I assume, perhaps naively/wrongly, that if the Demsheviks in VA pass a law as they described, it won’t take effect immediately - don’t laws usually have a date at which it becomes effective? And I also assume that the good guys already are drawing up the legal stuff to instantly shove it up to SCOTUS emergency style.

According to the guy doing the talking, when he and other cops are making their rounds as plain cloths undercover, in bars and on the streets, the mood is obviously very angry and ugly already.
It sounded to me like if the bills pass, it’s on. And the cops might just be trying to get out of the way.
Cops know who dont need guns and who have a constitutional right to them that they serve. And they know it, at least in Virginia, for now... This is really shocking talk from the Gov Baby Killer Coonface of Virginia for us folks. To borrow a phrase Virginia is “Woke” from the Cops to the Public that supports them.
