I recognize two names - Portis and Rogers. I think Portis is a dark horse for the Hall of Fame. There goes that.

Controversial views

In May 2007, during the ongoing investigations into the dog-fighting crimes of former NFL player Michael Vick, Portis defended Vick, saying: "I don't know if he was fighting dogs or not. But it’s his property; it’s his dogs. If that’s what he wants to do, do it."

When told that dog fighting was a felony, Portis replied, "It can't be too bad of a crime."

Portis said that he thought dog fighting was a “prevalent” part of life, adding: "I know a lot of back roads that got a dog fight if you want to go see it.
But they’re not bothering those people because those people are not big names."

That same day, he later released a statement through the Redskins' official website that claimed he did not take part in, nor condone, dog fighting.
