Reporter Alex Bozarjian said she was in "disbelief" when a man, who was running in the Savannah race she was covering on Saturday, moved behind her and appeared to slap her on the butt.
"He took my power, and I'm trying to take that back," Bozarjian said Tuesday on "CBS This Morning," adding, "I think what it really comes down to is that he helped himself to a part of my body."
Bozarjian filed a police report Monday, and the man, Tommy Callaway, was banned from future Savannah Sports Council races.
Callaway's lawyer said: "While we regret the situation, Mr. Callaway did not act with any criminal intentions. Tommy is a loving husband and father who is very active in his community."
Bozarjian said Callaway made contact with Savannah station WSAV-TV and said his intentions were not to hurt her.

Oh I agree.
No he didn’t. He slapped a hiney. I guarantee a male reporter would not cry abput their ‘power’ being taken away by a slap on the rump.
are all adults today 5 year olds?
Besides then, this means women’s power is in their asses...
I would have guessed face or boobs.
Looked like he slapped that ass to me!
My 80 yo mother has slapped my butt harder than that!
She needs mental treatment.
The real question is “does she have a nice butt?” I propose her butt be entered as evidence.
he’s a youth minister. Of course he is. Doesn’t he know to keep his hands to himself?
Agreed that people need to keep their hands to themselves.
She's from Salem, MA. Must be a "witch" thing. (Yeah, yeah, "Danvers", formerly known as "Salem Village"...)
Thick eyebrows and face mole cutie.
Probably has soft back hair.
He took my power? Really?
What does it even mean, to take away her power? One of the beta males on that interview agreed with her that this was a very important point. But what power was taken away?
For the record, I am against butt slapping TV newswomen. He shouldn’t have done that. But it seems to me , a bigger story has become the angst and reactions to this incident, rather than the incident itself.
She was in the way. I’d have given her a pat on the arse as well.
Agreed. The guy is totally out of line and the fact that he claims to be a youth minister is completely beside the point. You don't have to be a whiney liberal to see what a Christian conservative or even a hard core libertarian plainly knows and if yur mother didn't tell you then that's because she thought it was too obvious to need saying:
Do not ever slap or even touch a woman where and when she doesn't want.
And yes, she's no Cicero but she's absolutely right: it's her prerogative to expect that random strange guys don't touch her without her consent and he violated that prerogative.
I'm frankly disappointed that Freepers, some of whom claim to be Christian would say otherwise.
Boo hoo,
Hey, honey child.
It’s the camera that steals your power.
The pat on the butt is giving your power back.
With your skill set, if you weren’t attractive, you’d be asking “you want fries with that?” in a high crime neighborhood.
he may be a freeper!
