This from a woman who plays make-believe for a living.

Throughout the history of mankind actors, clowns, and other associated "entertainers" were the scourge of society - roaming from town to town.

It's only because of the vast number of people in this country with disposable income that this twit has more than two nickels to rub together.

I'm sure everything coming out of her let's pretend world is certainly well reasoned and worth listening to.......

BINGO! The overpaid mannequins in the sleazy world of show biz should THANK G-D ALMIGHTY that dead White guys like Edison, Marconi, Philo Farnsworth, Vladimir Zworykin, David Sarnoff, Jack Warnet, Disney and many others came along when they did.
If it weren't for their inventions, business expertise and talents they would be in the same situations as their colleagues over 100 years ago.
In someone's alleyway literally singing for their supper. Travelling in minstrel shows hoping to make enough to keep from starving. Standing on a soap box babbling incoherently while being looked upon as the village idiots they are. Or locked up and forgotten about in some insane asylum.

Eh, I’d argue that philosophers are even more of a scourge of society than actors/clowns/entertainers combined. At least until recently, their role was just to entertain people, which is relatively harmless in the grand scheme of things, not to mention are generally powerless even today (Brooke Anne Smith, an aspiring actress, indicated that with the rare exception of an ad-lib, actors are required to follow the directions of the writer and director when I contacted her about one of her characters) while philosophers generally end up having and abusing a LOT of power. To name some examples off the top of my head, there’s Sartre, Foucault, Rousseau, Voltaire, Diderot, Sade, Nietzsche, Marx, Spinoza, Gramsci, and the like. They constantly do make believe for free, and specifically to CAUSE a riot, many times not actually believing their own claims and knowing they are false yet still push these claims anyway.

But yeah, what Rey said about Trump was indeed asinine.
