CBS' Historic New York Headquarters to Be Sold

The office building, located at 51 West 52nd Street at the corner of Sixth Avenue, has served as CBS’ headquarters since it was completed in 1964. ViacomCBS will look to divest Black Rock, the New York headquarters of CBS.

ViacomCBS CEO Bob Bakish made the announcement at the UBS Global TMT Summit in New York Monday. “Black Rock is not an asset we need to own and we believe that money would be put to better use elsewhere," he said.

The Eero Saarinen-designed office building, located at 51 West 52nd Street at the corner of Sixth Avenue, has served as CBS’ headquarters since it was completed in 1964.

CBS can’t afford DeBlasio’s socialist policies - so like good socialists they’re going to move to more fertile capitalist areas while still promoting socialism.

"Black Rock is not an asset we need to own." It's never been an asset you needed to own, so why now ? Profits down, obviously.

And is it true that rents would be astronomical at that location ? Both for what you could earn by leasing to numerous occupants, and for what you will pay to lease, provided they stay downtown.

It appears they need a cash infusion.....for what reason, curious minds want to know. Decreased income for news and football, but it's probably larger than that. Les Moonves.....

They could convert it to a high-rise whorehouse. It would be a lateral move.
