Ok my friends. These are OUR people. Her salaried shift manager was able to get overtime pay for working past the 40 hours/wk, thanks to the Kenyan. If she’s putting in 40 hours a week she’s staying out of trouble. I say take EVERYTHING away from those that don’t work full time. 2 part time jobs with no health care is what’s out there. I say provide them with the health care as long as they can prove they worked those 40 hours. WE find a way to get her car fixed.

I recall making $9.50/hr. It was the third-highest paying job I ever had. I wonder how social security retired people make it on $1,000/mo, a lot less than $9.50/hr. And I wonder how those social security people compete with ppl that insist on driving wages up to $15/hr for flipping burgers and pushing mops. Or how those who work in cubicles feel about burger flippers making more than they do shuffling papers. Or what those who are on their feet all day at twice her age think about a 29-yo complaining about a 4-hr stand?
Anyone who’s limited themselves to employment in the fast-food industry for 14 years has some problems - one of them seems to be tunnel-vision. Why she hasn’t applied for disability for her diabetes, which would give her medical coverage? Or why she hasn’t written the insulin manufacturer to get on their reduced/free drug program? Why hasn’t she moved on to restaurant work or hotel catering crew? (my first job - paid $100 an event) And I would think her employer is a rare one, if the employer doesn’t give consideration to bus schedules when asking a bus-riding employee to stay. She’s already said that she couldn’t afford a car payment or insurance, so fixing her vehicle is throwing money away. What’s her real story, because I”m not buying this one?

So what does the boyfriend do? Why can’t he give her a car? And why are they staying at his parents if they charge at least one 40-hour-a-week worker’s paycheck just for the privilege?
We know. If she we’re an immigrant she’d find a way to work 60 hours a week for a few months to save up some cash. She and her boyfrienc could probably find another similarly strapped couple to share a cheap apartment closer to her work if such issues are really widespread. And how cold can it be walking to the bus in NC? I am walking to trains up here in CT and NY in December.
All that said, yes, it is the uniparty’s massive influx of cheap immigrant labor expressly to push down the wages of low skill workers such as she clearly is. $15/hr in NC will just up the automation in McDonald’s and hospital kitchens—if thwre is a shortage of illegals.
If everyone had a PHD, nobody would be working at McDonald’s and the restaurant and bar owners would be cleaning their own toilets..........
