Some just don’t care about that. I’ll let others pursue narcissism by living life vicariously through their children’s accomplishments.
That’s what “leaving a legacy” is. We see it all too clearly with hussein. Parallels can be drawn all too easily with people that believe every human’s purpose is to reproduce.
And your evidence that everyone cares about that rather than spending time together and doing things as a family is?
Because the legacy as I was taught isn’t achievments but an honest character, enjoyable time together as a family, independence and sincere faith.
The future belongs to those who will show up to claim it. Without continuity your culture is dead within so much as a generation. Sure, your descendants may still give up their birthright for a mess of pottage or sell the family farm or grow up to mock the culture a values of their fathers anyway. But to give up progeny is to give up period. Without posterity you conserve NOTHING.
Those who show up for the future will claim it, be they the descendants of Muslims or Mexicans.
