There are sections of the wall not yet fitted with electronic sensors to alert guards that people are attempting to cut or climb the wall. It’s already reduced the flow quite a bit and it’s not even completed.
I believe that the climber would have been stopped if the videographer were not a friend or anti-wall supporter.
They are also lining the wall with military grade barb wire on the US side. But the wall worked. Border patrol showed and arrested the ones on the American side. Because they also built roads along the fence line. Less traffic to watch for and super fast border patrol access along fence line are a great deterrent.
Without the wall, all would have crossed and disappeared.
We dont have any sensors on the fence in my AOR. We have senors in the ground but not on the fence.
No way to make them stop climbing, we cant touch themnon the fence.
