He’s 86 - millions of people who never smoked in their life don’t make it that long. If he’s still touring it looks like he’s had a pretty good run to me.

Unfiltered smoke being inhaled deeply into the lungs and held there for as long as the smoker can possibly hold it never struck me as being a particularly healthy thing to do.

As my dear old dad used to say after he hit his 80s... "
If I knew I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of myself."
He made it to month short of his 87 birthday though and smoked till the day he died. The good news... He didn't waste his life wondering whether or not he should eat this, or eat that and after retiring from the military at the ripe age of 43 he rarely exercised. But he did live large and had a very nice and long life because he rarely wasted his time worrying.

I saw the interview earlier today on TV (HLN, if I remember correctly).
The way I heard it, he had given up on smoking cigarettes (nicotine), not weed.
He recently had to give up some singing engagements due tp respiratory issues.
