I used to work for a company that sold and serviced a machine used in hospital and other pharmacies to dispense individual doses of tablets in small packets, along with a label for the patients’ identifying information.
There was one in place in a small town in southern Illinois that needed service but, rather than wait for the technician to drive out from St. Louis, they decided to let the local mechanic have a try at it. He managed to take the machine apart, but he couldn’t get it back together, which made a bigger job for the technician once he got there.
The moral of the story — you have your equipment worked on by someone who is trained to work on that equipment. The tablet counter and a car are not the same, no matter what you might think.
