That’s pretty cool! Sounds like opensecrets.org and Wayback machine might be the most useful things the internet has produced, aside from Free Republic of course.
It used o be The Thomas Library, now it’s congress.gov, I think, you can get House and Senate bill texts, floor discussions from Congressional Record, other good stuff.
So when someone shrieks that this proposed law will require us all to turn in our woodstoves and buy Monsanto seeds, you can look up the actual proposed law and at least shriek in an informed way (both examples actually happened but the law texts mentioned nothing about seeds or stoves)
