Can a former president be impeached?
Apparently, yes. Obviously a former president would not be subject to removal from office, but scholars say that Article I, Section 3 of the Constitution, which says that impeachment may result in disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States, could apply. In practical terms, an impeachment would mean Clinton could not serve in any other federal elective or appointive office.
#1383 I read that to mean that he would lose his Presidential Pension, travel funds, HealthCare etc.
That would keep BO from being "First Man" if Michelle opted to run for POTUS.
Looks like senate has to vote specifically on that.
They only voted to remove Alcee Hastings as a judge. He therefore was able to run for Congress.

“Vote for Removal and/or Disqualification:
No separate vote was taken. Having found Hastings guilty on 8 of the 17 articles of impeachment, the president pro tempore ordered him removed from office. He was not disqualified for future office.”
oh duh me. It’s the only thing they could try him on...
