I take it when you write ‘nihilism’ you mean that there is no objective truth and absolute of good or evil. I remember a professor of history saying that what ever individuals do the teaching of history is there is neither good nor evil among states and societies and only winners and either losers or the annihilated.

Yes, I meant that kind of nihilism, the kind that erroneously rejects objective truth and morals.

If the murderer-turned-professor taught mainstream psychology, with its concomitant embrace of nihilistic philosophy, then the author’s thinking is precisely backwards. In that such teaching promotes an ideology which if taken to its logical conclusion only leads to more murder.
