You mean an ill-conceived puppet of oligarch Kolomoisky who groomed this clown into presidency by making a show with Zelensky starring as a fake honest president?
And the funniest part of this plan is that it worked and clown got elected based on the resentment of all things political by the population?

Nobody is jealous. Zelensky is an apogee of political corruption and the very definition of kakistocracy.
Although it was fun to see Trump ripping Zelensky another one during their meeting in DC.

How benefits and freedoms trickle down to the average joe.
Considering the fact that significantly less ‘benefits and freedoms’ reach down to the average Joe in Ukraine I bet there is a flaw in this take.
Another point is some say Russia is a dictatorship. Although it is very questionable you have to admit that dictatorship and oligarchy are different forms of government.
In that sense Sechin is a peon and Kolomoisky is an evil oligarch.
It is not that I support this take but it somehow coming out of your comparison.
