Everybody knew he was gay, and he knew that everybody knew it, and nobody cared, because it was dealt with the right way....discreetly.

You reminded me of Austin Powers'comment on the 1960s: "It's not that no one knew Liberace was gay. It's that no one wondered if he was gay."

Back then entertainers knew how to finesse their gayness or integrate it subtly into their act. Now, thanks to the liberals, as Powers said, we've lost our innocence. Gays have made their sexuality the focus, by waving it in our faces.
