I’m done, too! Yay! :)
Continuing sewing talk from Garden Thread:
My late aunt was an excellent, prolific sewer - she made all sorts of things for her church’s Holiday Bazaar. She did hot pads, made tops for towels so you could hang them (using a pot holder), made little tea bag holders, many clever ideas. Her husband asked if I wanted her sewing machine - pretty fancy one with ‘cartridges’ or something like that for fancy stitches. I took it - used to sew clothes when I was a teenager, but on a very simple machine. Every now & again, I need a machine & there are a few things I’d like to make so maybe one of these days, I’ll take the time to figure her machine out ... at the moment, I also have no place to set it up so that’s probably the biggest issue.
I saw this recently - I love the reindeer treat bag on page two ...

My niece is sewing a few things ... I sent her this one last year ... the “right” fabric really makes the ornament:

*BUMP* for tomorrow afternoon!
I love granny squares, Have done over a dozen. Most fun ones were with getting rid of colorful yarns in a granny square with a colored flower and black yarn for the background. Almost a stained glass feel. Sorry no pictures, did 2 and gave them away.
Have you ever made the microwave bowls? We use them all the time and have had friends request them.
I agree! The multi-colored with a black background are the sexiest Granny Squares!
Send me a link again for those bowls. I really need to make some in everyday and large sizes. I CAN sew straight lines, LOL!
I’m short, so everything in my normal-sized kitchen is a bit too tall for me, especially the shelf that holds the Microwave.
Those would be very hand to have...so I can avoid burns, and having to drag my footstool over to check the Microwave! Grrrr!
Well, ya know, you get engaged to a guy that is 6’ 3” and you’re 5’ 1”, someone has to make allowances and it’s NEVER the short one of the couple, LOL!
Here’s another link to a ‘Temperature Blanket’ (crochet or knit) from Lion Brand:

That’s absolutely beautiful.
How long did it take?
Add me! Add me!
What took you so long? ;)
Just now saw this thread!
I’m a beginner crochet chick but love to see what everybody else has done!
It’s my wife’s creation not mine. It took over two hundred hours
It’s absolutely breathtaking.
Wish I knew how to do that.

My guy is 6 2 1/2 and I am 5”4”. Here is the link sorry I did not get your ping earlier. Simple video. I buy the Wrap N Zap a 100% cotton batting that is heavily felted.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYOqsRw_Irc
Crocheting and watching Football is on the agenda for today! I took a basket of crocheted dishcloths to Beau's family Christmas and they were all snatched up with great enthusiasm, LOL! I think next year I'll do simple Infinity scarves in neutral male/female colors. I mean, ANY excuse to yarn shop, Right? ;)
