Whenever a Democrat uses a term in any of their campaigns, or legislative bills, you can pretty much bet that it will be exactly the opposite of what they claim.

(Affordable Care Act; 'Investment' when they mean taking from producers and giving to Moochers and Looters. etc for example)

And as a poster above noted... Malarkey is a term that I doubt 3/4 of the voting public even knows what it means; I'm pretty well-read and with a pretty decent vocabulary, and I doubt I'd know the term unless my Irish maternal Grandparents hadn't accused a bunch of politicians like Biden (and me, upon occasion) being "full of" back in the 1950s

Only reason I knew that it meant BS was dad (born in 1921) used it. I use a term that dates back to my younger days and then have to explain it to the grandkids. Sometimes I do it on purpose. At least Uncle Joe could make a living as a stand up comedian in rest homes someday.

The wire services long ago (long, long ago) turned journalism into a cartel (They constitute virtual meetings of all major journalists, and "People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, or in some contrivance to raise prices. - Adam Smith).

Because the business of journalist is the reporting of bad news, journalism defaults to criticism of society and insinuations or assertions that government should do more to discipline society. IOW, socialism is journalism’s default ideology. Journalism’s “conspiracy against the public” lies in the cartel’s claim that “journalists are objective.” Since objectivity is not a state of being, that’s inherently false and self-serving. Since even attempting objectivity is a difficult discipline, the safe default for journalists is to take the easy way out and never break the ideological mold of the cartel. IOW, in practical terms journalism defines “objectivity” to mean “in accord with the (socialist) slant of the journalism cartel.”

All nominally positive political adjectives are treated the same way by the journalism cartel. “Liberal,” “moderate,” centrist,” and “progressive” (all Americans believe in progress) all are given the same meaning as “objective” is - only the usage permitted by the cartel is different. “Objective” is assigned only and always to journalists; the others are never assigned to a journalist but only to people whose ideology would allow them to get a job as a journalist and fit right in - and be called “objective."
