According to the Oxford dictionary, malarkey is an expression from the 1920s.
And it’s a “Barnstorming” tour. Could have gone with “Whistle-Stop” too. Would have been just a timely. What’s next? “Circle the wagons around Joe Biden.”

And as a poster above noted... Malarkey is a term that I doubt 3/4 of the voting public even knows what it means; I'm pretty well-read and with a pretty decent vocabulary, and I doubt I'd know the term unless my Irish maternal Grandparents hadn't accused a bunch of politicians like Biden (and me, upon occasion) being "full of" back in the 1950s

Only reason I knew that it meant BS was dad (born in 1921) used it. I use a term that dates back to my younger days and then have to explain it to the grandkids. Sometimes I do it on purpose. At least Uncle Joe could make a living as a stand up comedian in rest homes someday.
