Domestic hogs are also pretty dangerous if you fall down in a pen.

Strange, but I suspect there will be a sudden enthusiasm in the county for shooting feral pigs. Let’s just hope it is only feral pigs that get shot.

That thought had crossed my mind whenever I had seen the movie Unforgiven (Clint Eastwood, great f’n movie) early on when he has his kids separating the hogs. They were bigger than the kids. I supposed if well fed it would be less of a danger, but with animals and instincts being what they are.... it seems a little unrealistic to me.

Hey, guys, did any of you see the picture accompanying this story on Fox and other places? The stock photo looks to contain javelinas and their babies, not feral hogs. I’ve spent a lot of outdoors time in South Texas where javelinas are rampant and a frequent nuisance. Unless molested, they are wary of humans. A pack of feral hogs? - not so much!
