It says he is credited with inventing the World Wide Web, which he did by demonstrating the first successful communication between a Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) client and server via the internet in Nov. 1989.

Don't be a jerk. If you read more than one source on him you will discover that his contribution is subject to dispute as well as all the others, which is the point I was making.
