Kanye West tweeted a heavily marked-up bible verse on Sunday night, and fans could not help but notice he posted it right as Taylor Swift was winning the Artist of the Decade Award at the AMAs. The rapper has a complicated history with Swift and with award shows, but he is putting all of his focus and energy on his spirituality this days. Fans wondered what Sunday's selection was meant to say.
West posted a picture of a bible page on Sunday night in the middle of the American Music Awards of 2019. The book was open to Daniel 3:27, and West had covered the page in highlighter marks, notations and asterisks.
By all appearances, the verse was an apocalyptic one, concerned with "The Fiery Furnace" and the worship of false idols.

Did you really think we were going to miss @kanyewests foray into opera? Were big believers that opera is for everyone and are excited to see how Kanye will make his mark.
English translation of the thread title?
I saw a commercial saying she was getting Artist of the Decade. Thats how you know its been a really bad ten years in music.

LoL! I know. The title is amusing. This whole thing is amusing! And Kanye’s opera doesn’t seem half bad from the footage I’ve seen. I could see how it will go above some people’s heads though.
Whatever. Anything that gets Scripture and Bible prophecy on the collective consciousness is a GOOD thing! God bless this moment and for many more hereafter.
Hermeneutics matters.

To be honest, I can afford to be more literate in Old Testament prophecy and I will be taking a class through some of it at least with my church in the new year. All I know about Daniel is the Lion’s Den.
The website I posted from is popculture.com not a theology source...But I think anything that gets people talking about the Bible and reading it is a good thing.
Kanye’s opera on the Book of Daniel is still clearly a work in progress, but shows potential.
An astute observation! Lol!
Oh, golly. He has his own opera “Nebuchadnezzar” streaming tonight, and these idiots think the verses are about Taylor Swift.
From a Messianic perspective it is about how Christ will protect us through the trials and tribulations of this life.
May I suggest "Basic Bible Interpretation" by Roy Zuck?
It is a popular college text, easy read and it will be one of your favorites: you will use it the rest of your life. It is the best book on hermeneutics I seen.
I disagree. There is a historical application to Daniel 3, but there is also a future one. Jesus said the reader of Daniel will understand the end times (Matt 24). The image in Daniel 3 has 666 numbers for its height / width. A number that is important In the last days (soon)
Personally, I prefer THIS kind of Apocalyptica
No they don't agree. I'd like to see he source for that assertion.
They king was not seeing a vision. He was seeing reality: what he created (a furnace), God's preservation of his saints amidst the fire, along with a special revelation from God of the pre-incarnate eternal Son. That is historical narrative. It happened, and it only has one interpretation.
I can't imagine they'd give it to anyone else. Since 2010, there has been nobody who has had a greater impact on music than Taylor Swift. Even if she hadn't sold her soul to the Left, she'd still have gotten this award.
And music today is as good as it's been in a long time. Problem is, nobody is hearing any of it. There's countless great bands out there but instead of making millions of dollars selling CDs to millions of fans, they're barely keeping the lights on through Pandora and Spotify and a few thousand subscribers. By the time you or I discover them, they've already released three albums, broken up, and quit music for day jobs.
I agree with you. There is some great music out there, but you have to go search. I think it’s worth it.
If true, she’s really broken up with a lot of guys the last 10 years.
