Top Navy officials threaten to resign if Trump keeps disgraced SEAL Edward Gallagher
FTA
Top officials in the US Navy threatened to resign or be fired should President Trump follow through with an order to keep disgraced Navy SEAL Edward Gallagher in the service, The New York Times reported.
The threats from Navy Secretary Richard Spencer and Rear Adm. Collin Green, who leads the SEALs, left the Department of Defense scrambling for a compromise, the paper reported.
adios ship out!

Gallagher was AQUITTED BY A JURY, of murdering an ISIS figher in Iraq, and so they came up with some lame offense about him posing for a picture with the body and putting it on social media.
The man was AQUITTED!
Incidentally, Navy Secretary Spencer was a Captain in the Marines 1976-1981, but then went to work for various Wall Street firms such as Goldman Sachs.
I read his career as being involved in military procurement (i.e., SPENDING TAXPAYER MONEY). Nothing inherently wrong with this--though the area is rife with corruption--but I'm just sayin' he doesn't quite get the same automatic respect from me as one might infer if his position as Secretary of the Navy meant he were a career officer who had worked up through the ranks.
On the other hand, in his 2017 confirmation hearings Spencer took issue with President Trump's policy on transgender people in the military ... used similar language about "Following direct, legal orders" from the CINC.
Sounds like a lot of high up Navy personnel need to be brought down to size: demoted & fired!!
