President Trump welcomes a Senate trial. Is this a good idea? Let's take a look at the current Republicans in the Senate and see which ones would vote to remove the President from office.

“they will try to get something in return for his vote.”
Wouldn’t that be a ... quid pro quo?
IF ANY OF THESE CLOWNS VOTE TO IMPEACH, THAT MAKES THEM COMPLICIT WITH THE UNELECTED SWAMP PEOPLE WHO ARE ANTIAMERICAN AND INLINE TO OVERTHROW THE AMERICAN GOV’T.
There will not be an impeachment. Maybe a vote to censure. Peloosie will take the blame for it and go home for good. Once they all come back from this break, they will know for a fact that to impeach is to lose the House again.
That might be the only true thing he has ever said, but I believe it.
I think in order of probability
1. Murkowski - I think she thinks she has sufficient independence of the base to get away with it plus her Kavanagh behavior.
2. Collins - She might to prove she has enough “wokeness” to make up for he defense of Kavanagh
3. Romney - I don’t think he will. He’ll bluster, threaten to the vote. He’ll vote no.
Rubio?
Any and every R who has an Epstein problem.
Bet Deep State has dirt on most.
The ONLY reason many people vote for GOP senators is because they don’t have a “D” behind their name. Rarely do they earn their votes.
LOL
At least you took the time to straighten up the list
If the Dims in the House pass a Bribery article I think no defections in the Senate. Its Constitutionally weak.
“I 100% believe Jeff Flake when he says that if there were a secret ballot 35 Republicans would vote to remove.”
I agree with you as well. I suspect there is a great deal of private arm twisting going on to convince the Senate GOP caucus to adopt rules for the Senate trial incorporating a secret ballot for the conviction vote. If there is a secret ballot, the vote to convict may be overwhelming to convict - 90 for, 10 against.
If Trump is convicted, his life will become extremely difficult. He and his family will be dogged by criminal investigations, trials and civil lawsuits. The deep state and establishment will do everything in its power to ruin him and his family. The goal will be to put him in prison where he will live in misery and humiliation. If New York State can find a way to railroad him into a conviction for some crime, they’ll put him in the general prison population. Pence will not pardon him. If a Democrat wins the 2020 election, and Trump is sentenced to federal prison, he’ll be put in the worst one.
“Take a pill.”
I thought about that, then I thought, “What if this is the Democrats end game?”
Never happen...
Because it is vital to them to prevent a recurrence.
Which wont?
I think you are 100% right about Manchin. He wants to be governor of WV again. Good chance for Jones too, unless he comes to the conclusion that there is zero chance of winning reelection. And for what it is worth I think there is very little chance of Mittens voting to convict. The simple reason is that he has no guts. He would only vote to convict if the other votes were there. And forget the Dems having him. If he is to ever have a chance to become prez he will have to stand with the GOP. He will make all kinds of noise about being fair and deploring some of the ways that President Trumps acts but will, in the end, vote to acquit.
I am so sorry I ever voted for Mittens.
If Trump is convicted and kicked from office, I predict bloodshed.
