I grew up in Southern CA watching Engineer Bill and Sheriff John. Didn’t watch much PBS.
Oh yeah, the other Show I watched was Soupy Sales. Soupy was the man. I hope they do a Movie about him.
We had Checkers and Pogo in Hawaii.
Actually he wasn't. The "bird" was the successor to the Sicilian salute which was popular at that time......
Characters in Mr. Rogers’ neighborhood.
Well, he had a degree in music and was friends with jazz musicians. I bet he was hitting those doobies!
I met Tom Hanks on the street one evening a couple of blocks from my house where he was filming. It was pretty late at night. He stepped out of his trailer to go into the building where they were filming and there was no one else around on the sidewalk but me and my kid, who had been waiting outside in the cold for some time for an autograph. Hanks was rude to me in front of my kid. He is like Frank Sinatra to me now. Good at his job; but not so hot as a person.
Presumably you are referring to Hanks, not Rogers? Your post isn't clear on that point.
I was too young for Mr Roger’s, but from whay I can tell, Tom Hanks and him have nothing in common.
Mr. Rogers was a combat marine in WW11.
Well, how about the time he taught kids how to give the finger
Really? That’s what he was doing? You also work with Schiff on his impeachment evidence too?
As time goes on, I’m more inclined to believe that FR has devolved to the point that it is hosting the worst of conservatism...

Loud proud and a detrimental old bad joke.
I have a degree in music and am friends with jazz musicians. I even married one. Neither he nor I hit doobies.
No, he wasn’t.
