Very proud of Alison such a hard worker, and olde soul. Union Station members have moved on to friend’s act,- met her a couple of times. An inspired artist who supports writers... real music writers (many of whom espouse conservative values FReepers might be surprised). For example:
Robert Lee Castleman- a truck driver and song writer (maybe driving a little less- some serious talent)—

Voight and Claremont are well known strong conservative voices. Krause has always kept her politics quiet and out of the public spotlight. But, given the large amount of gospel music she has sung, it would be surprising if she is very liberal.
Kraus has released fourteen albums, appeared on numerous soundtracks, and helped renew interest in bluegrass music in the United States. Her soundtrack performances have led to further popularity, including the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack, an album also credited with raising American interest in bluegrass, and the Cold Mountain soundtrack, which led to her performance at the 2004 Academy Awards. As of 2019, she has won 27 Grammy Awards from 42 nominations, ranking her third behind Quincy Jones and classical conductor Georg Solti for most Grammy Award wins. She is the most awarded singer and the most awarded female artist in Grammy history.
Her 2007 collaboration with Robert Plant on "Raising Sand" was so unexpected, so absolutely weird, and so out of character for her...but it really worked. Listen to "Rich Woman" for a sample.
