I've had the best reception with those newfangled flat antennas, but there's basically no reception out here in The Boonies, unless I'm also using a drop amp. Used to get those at Radio Shack, or really anywhere -- now online only.
Mom used to say she only shot Jacks through the ears, so as to not harm them...
