We shipped our factories to China and decimated middle America, that’s what happened.

Nixon also saved Israel from collapse after the ‘73 war.
They had used every weapon they had fighting off Jordan, Egypt, Syria and Iraq.
Only an emergency airlift and re-supply saved Israel from being over run in a 2nd attack.

The ‘73 oil embargo was how the USA was punished for it.

He sure did!
Golda and Mosha Dayan got intelligence from the USA that something was building on the Egyptian boarder in early ‘73.
It was ignored and laughed off because of Israel’s success in ‘68.

Egypt was supplied with wire guided anti-tank missiles and SAMs.
It was a big surprise to Israel and they nearly lost the ‘73 war.

Only Nixon’s re-supply after ‘73 war saved Israel from collapse.

Watergate was all B.S. as much as this current B.S. with Trump.

I believe the Nixon had no prior knowledge of the Watergate fiasco, but was fully aware of and participated in the coverup. Then he lied to me, and I wanted him out as much as any RAT. I liked Ford and considered him equal to Nixon in ability anyway.

[Only Nixon’s re-supply after ‘73 war saved Israel from collapse.]

But the US prevented Israel from launching a pre-emptive spoiling attack against Egyptian and Syrian units that were massing on the border against Israel, threatening to cut off the supply of US weaponry if such an Israeli attack occurred. The cost to Israel was significant - 2700 men out of a population of 2m, a % greater than US casualties during WWII in the Pacific.

https://www.jpost.com/Opinion/US-Jews-shouldnt-honor-Kissinger-594780
[On Yom Kippur morning, hours before the 1973 Arab invasion, Meir was informed by her military intelligence officials that Egypt and Syria were massing their troops along Israel’s borders and would attack later that day. The Israelis immediately contacted Kissinger.

Golan describes what happened next: “Till the very outbreak of the fighting, Kissinger remained more concerned with the possibility of an Israeli preemptive strike than an Egyptian-Syrian attack.” Kissinger instructed the US ambassador in Israel to personally deliver to Meir “a presidential entreaty” – that is, a warning, in the name of President Nixon “not to start a war.”

Abba Eban, who was then foreign minister, confirmed in his autobiography that Army chief of staff David Elazar proposed a preemptive strike, but Meir and defense minister Moshe Dayan rejected it on the grounds that “the United States would regard this as provocative.”

AS SOON as the Arabs attacked, the Israelis requested a US airlift of military supplies. Kissinger stalled them – for an entire brutal week. Kissinger’s strategy was to orchestrate “a limited Egyptian victory,” Makovsky wrote in The Jerusalem Post in 1993. The secretary of state feared an Israeli victory “would cause Israel to strengthen its resolve not to make any territorial concessions in Sinai.”

“Kissinger opposed giving [Israel] major support that could make its victory too one-sided,” Isaacson confirms. He told defense secretary James Schlesinger, “The best result would be if Israel came out a little ahead but got bloodied in the process.”

A “little bloodied”? Try 2,656 dead Israeli soldiers.]

Nixon was punished for his pursuit of Alger Hiss. You need to understand that if you want to understand how Nixon was treated.

Secretary of state Henry Kissinger tells the Soviet ambassador in Washington that as soon as the Soviets set off their first missile against China, the US will launch nuclear missiles at 130 Soviet cities.

That can't be true - Xi Jinping would have mentioned it before getting into a trade war with the USA. /s

I really doubt it could have been a nuclear war. More like it could have been a largely conventional operation including Vietnam, Mongolia and probably India on the Soviet side with major idea to sling some crap into Mao’s face and install some moderate commie instead.
