If the Democrats really wanted to impeach the President, then they would put him on trial. That would mean he would get to defend himself. The Democrats know or fear the President has or can get more on them, then they have on him. If they really push it, he can present evidence of their crimes to the American people and they can't stop him.
Look at the Schiff hearings, how absurdly one sided Schiff and the news coverage both are. That constant stream of accusation and negative coverage is the goal. Not actually going through with actually trying to remove Trump from office.
