So she writes, produces, directs, and stars in the movie and wonders why it doesn’t have broad appeal at the box office. Hmm... Let me see... I’m sure there is a word for what’s wrong with the movie. Oh yeah, diversity. As in a complete lack of creative diversity. Anything so controlled by a single person is probably just one big ego trip. Add to that the apparent guys are stupid girls are cool agenda that is all the rage in Hollywood right now...and gee, you have the makings of a disaster. In short the movie is a flop because she made it so, and the studio allowed it. Given the recent history of attempted reboots / remakes with this basic formula one has to wonder if the studio did it on purpose. Maybe (hopefully) to kill off any future attempts at something similar.

Reminds me of all the Barbara Streisand movies... it’s all HER in every scene... sheesh. Totally boring
