Vegans aren’t just picky about food - they’re hyper picky, especially in regard to nutritional content. And when they apply that philosophy to kids, some of whom have to be prodded to eat, and need sufficient nutrition to avoid childhood developmental disorders that will haunt them their entire adult lives, it’s a recipe for disaster. I’d simply have sugared/splenda’ed up every dish to make it palatable. But these self-flagellating adults undoubtedly left the sugar out. People with a hair shirt mentality don’t understand that kids can’t always be shoehorned into their philosophy.
It’s been proven time and time again how harmful these diets are. It’s insanity and it cost this poor child a slow death.
Babies, toddlers and kids need animal fat and cholesterol to survive and thrive. It wouldnt matter if they added sugar to make it palatable and he ate all they gave him, he would still be dangerously malnourished on a vegan diet.
Crazy parents; probably due to a lack of B vitamins for their brains.
My wife’s DIL is an ardent vegan. She is a far Left Loon and control freak. Her husband, a cuckold if there ever was one. He used to be a steak and rib eating guy, now on the rare occasion when he eats a hamburger with the guys, he goes home and confesses and ask forgiveness. Yes that is a true story. Anyway we were very worried when she got pregnant. She had a decent OBGYN who kept her filled up with supplements to meet her nutritional needs. Once the baby was born she continued to force the vegan eating agenda on the baby. Somewhere along the line she softened up on that somewhat. Don’t know who got to her, but she now allows some cheese and fish. Thankfully the granddaughter is now 5½ and seems healthy and bright. So hopefully she has dodged a bullet.
I’ve never figured out whether people become vegans because they aren’t wired to code or being a vegan makes you nuts.
While I have embraced the Keto lifestyle, there is no way I’d recommend it for young people who are still growing, outside of advising them to stay away from highly-processed foods.
