UnGoogle is a tool to show you the correct website rankings in Google search engine, and to make it easy to search in different countries.
This is achieved by deactivating your personal search, which often makes you see your own/often visited websites at a higher incorrect ranking.
Try updating your Waterfox? NoScript requires Firefox 70.x or better to install. I know you have an issue with Mozilla Firefox my friend. But if you install Linux you get a whole “different” open source version of “linux” Firefox that is not directly tied to Mozilla. Yet it can be updated to the very newest version and use all the addons.
OH, okay then......so how do you clear your cache? And is it really safe to do so when one finds out how to do it?
Are you linux yet??? If not we have to do something about that man... The safety and security is absolutely unbeatable.
What is your operating system? And I have some warnings before you do this, but need to know what you are running first. :)
Yes it is safe, in fact it is a good practice to do a couple time a week. But for lazy people it is a pain because you will have to relog into all the sites you had set for auto-login like the FR. Just make sure you remember all your passwords to all your sites first is all.
You will be surprised how much faster your PC works after you do... :)
Waterfox is up to date, it branched of off Firefox at an older version before Firefox mad some changes that killed some of my addons that I like, If I go to Linux I’ll look into the Linux version of Firefox and see if I want to give up any of the addons to use it.
I’m not using Linux yet, I rarely change Operating Systems and was planning on looking into Linux next time I got new computers.
Linux is made for whatever you have, infact it likes to take dinosaurs and turn them into brand new up to date capable computers. I have loaded the very newest version of linux mint( the 32 bit option of the newest) on a 2002 HP laptop and made it scream like it was new. Ten times faster than the 32 bit Win XP that it came with. :)
Really, You should try it out “dual boot” for now and see what you think. That way you will have both Linux or Windows as you need them listed in the boot list. For surfing... You definitely NEED linux. Unless you are using strictly Windows office or business ware, I can testify that linux is MUCH better as a very secure, efficient, and fast OS.
Now there are folks that say Linux has hardware driver issues. But I just now today unboxed a brand new canon printer, went to their site, and downloaded their own “linux drivers” for this models in this whole model line. Everything works GREAT wireless and all.
Point is, Linux is now recognized as a third option OS now days and the market is accommodating this fact.
Google = Tiny Web
DuckDuckGo = Whole Web
UnGoogle = Whole Web
Microsoft S = Tiny Web
I should have also asked what browser you are using. But fir basic windows browsers here are the directions, Just remember what your logins were and they ARE cap sensitive.
https://www.iskysoft.com/data-recovery-tips/how-to-clear-memory-cache.html
But if you are using Firefox Etc. go search how to clear cache and they will explain in detail. :)
And really, this should be done a couple times a week. Some cookies and scripts can conflict with other cookies and scripts and it can slow down your whole system.
Let me know what you have and what browser you are using and I can help if you don’t find the answers with a search or the link I shared.
You are absolutely on the money... The only difference I see between this and DDG is that there are not two pages of DDG “close in topic, but not quite” sponsors to sift through first. :)
Windows 10?
This has been going on for quite a while.
Are you sure the problem isn’t a Faux News copyright complaint?
I'm using Firefox and I just followed their instructions........We'll see what happens. Thanks
Good deal, getting rid of that history and cookies should be done often. I use Firefox too, I let it “remember” my working passwords and have it set to clear cookies and history every time I close Firefox. That way I start fresh every time I open it, yet it auto-fills my logins. I really don’t mind the minimal extra effort to be safer. It still keeps the Bookmarks. :)
BTTT
They have them over at BitChute...
Well, I don't know if it remembered my working passwords but when I logged back in to this site, the log in and password screen came up and they were auto filled......then I just hit enter.
So I guess it remembered them.....
Yep.
Clean out the cache, etc., every couple weeks at least.
I notice Ccleaner no longer gets some browser cookies in IE11. You have to delete them by the browser.
Again, HostMan has been terrific for blocking dangerous and annoying links.
Yep, and every time you enter credentials into a new site you join it will pop up a window asking “Do you want firefox to remember logins for this site”. Yes... But make sure the logins are actually correct and do indeed work before clicking that, it will hang and wait for you. Because if not it will remember the WRONG credentials for you, then you have to go dig deeper into Firefox and remove the site credentials and go start all over again with that site. lol
Been there many times. :)
I use Bing, never google.
