In. I've been out in the woods and there's a new thread. Thanks MoD. My son shot a deer and called me to come help him find it. We tracked it for an hour and a half through the thickest crap you can imagine in the dark with flashlights. It was heading for the road about 3/4 of a mile from where he shot it, but we had to stay on the blood trial or loose it. About 75 yards from the road we are up to our ass in briars and we hear a shot. It sounded like a pistol. We continued to trail the deer and sure enough the blood trail ended in the ditch beside the road. Somebody stopped and dispatched our deer,took it, and drove off before we could get there.
