What Hudson’s research revealed is how city and State governments often willfully engage in what is best-termed historical fraud for the purpose of attracting federal grant monies, and above all, tourists. This will not bode well for the latter misled by the inaccurate displays masquerading as “history.”

RIP Ford and the fight at Bandera Pass is a similar event that didn't happen. The difference is neither the town of Bandera nor the state of Texas elected to troll for money other people had worked for to erect a monument of historical dubiousness.

Thank you for posting this, found it very interesting and learned about Harriet Tubman in school (NY State). She was the “conductor” on the “underground railroad”, glad to know it was pretty much all bullshiat

What is worse then fake news? Fake History

All so they can sell a “story” to tourists and school children.

Upstate NY is filled with dead and dying places fighting over a dwindling pool of tourists; casinos opened there because even an Atlantic City-type sh!thole in the mountains was preferable to ghost towns. Niagara Falls NY is a sad, run-down place, trying to lure some of the feminist pilgrims to the Finger Lakes to the east a little further west.

Retroactively fabricating history to include people who had no role at all in a certain place (or whole region) is just makework...
