Sandpaper? Are you kidding? The place is bullet proof. Any rust would be surface rust. It could be sandblasted in a few days.

If one had a few million it would be interesting to do that, paint it, renovate and add some floors to the silo... then build a really fortified house on top!

I started thinking about that. Heck, you're surrounded by sand.
There's a part of me that would love to tackle that project. That'd be one of the largest gun safes in the world.
