There are some people that make fun of the thought that Trump is playing chess against the Dems. Yesterday's hearing was a great example of this happening before our very eyes.

We have all seen a movie or TV show where two people "play chess".

Many times when this is shown in the movies or TV, one of the people playing is busily making moves thinking three or four moves ahead then the other player is shown coming out of nowhere and moving one piece or two pieces and saying checkmate.

The other player is gobsmacked. This is what we saw in the hearing yesterday. The Dems have been busy moving their pieces setting up a grand strategy. Never changing that strategy to defend against Trump's moves because they KNOW their strategy will win.

Trump made a move a couple weeks ago by releasing the transcript. In chess this would be like moving the Queen and just leaving it in its new place, sitting there not being noticed. Trump then moved a couple pawns, moved a Rook, maybe a Knight to defend & blunt the dems strategy

The Dems forgetting about the Queen, instead, concentrated on their moves and moving around whatever defenses Trump had thrown up (using secret hearings, leaks, changing hearing rules, etc)

Now yesterday, the dems finally have the pieces in place to put Trump in checkmate. They go to move the final piece and....can't because that Queen they forgot about will place themselves in check. Their entire strategy is stopped. They can't remove the Queen.

All of their pieces are directed at finishing their strategy and delivering the checkmate but they can't move. Trump meanwhile starts to move his Bishop Barr & Rook Durham along with some pawns and the Horowitz knight. The Dems have little left to defend against this new feint.

I'm 100% sure when Trump declares checkmate the dems and many of those who were watching only the Dems' moves will be gobsmacked just like in the movies. Because Trump does this often &wins just as often some people add the 3D/4D adjective to acknowledge its at a higher level.

But you know saying Trump is playing chess is funny to some people...🙄🙄😏
