The ABC insider said, “They are freaking out over the Harry Potter reference. Does this mean the leaker is a Potter fan, likely one of the younger staff members who work the overnight shift? Or is the leaker citing Latin, which means he or she could be an older member of staff. I mean, how many young producers speak Latin these days?”

If this is the level of education and critical thinking that goes on inside ABC, we are all in trouble.

It's not a measure of "speaking Latin" or fantasy characters, it's about understanding the history of anonymous political publishing.

The Federalist Papers were signed "Publius." The Anti-Federalist Papers were signed "Brutus," "Centinel," "Cato," "Federal Farmer," and several named authors.

Benjamin Franklin wrote under the name "Benevolus" when explaining the American cause to British readers in the London Chronicle in the 1760s.

Here is a list of other Latin pseudonyms used during the American Constitutional debates.

Harry Potter? That's the first thing that pops into their minds at ABC?
