We have one of these schools close to us. When investigating options for schools, we found out that Gulen was involved. Interesting that generally charter schools are not accepted or wanted in California...mostly by the teacher’s unions. Other charter schools in the same area are having a very difficult time getting their charters approved. Gulen charter schools are considered the bees knees by these same people...teacher unions, politicians etc. These schools are making quite a name for their educational product. There is some connection to tax savings and charter schools. Don’t remember quite how it works. Many, many public schools in California are an embarrassment to humans. Along with many other things in CA.
