it is a canon of us politics that voters do not care much about foreign policy, with the single exception of being attacked on us soil.
if so, then all the republicans need to do is to grind the “witnesses” into reciting boring details, in a pleasant manner.
as a corollary, trump and co. might do well to save any big ammo for the general election...
