People want to be God so they can do as they please and be responsible to no one. God to them is in the way, rules, responsibility and a consequence
Without God, all things are permissible.
Maybe if the so-called “biblical morality” wasn’t so hypocritical and hateful, it would have a better chance?
Maybe stop raping children under the guise of morality (Michele Mottola) ?
Maybe stop advocating for the murder of people you don’t like (Steven Anderson, et al) ?
Maybe stop stealing money from the people who come to you for help (SPAC Nation, London).?
Maybe stop Catholic schools from threatening to out a gay but celibate high school student (Magali Rodriguez ) to her parents, just for being attracted to another girl?
Maybe stop preachers from spitting on and spanking people they don’t like (Thomas R. Meyer)?
Maybe stop preaching from a book that advocates death for picking up sticks on the wrong day, or for selling your daughters as sex slaves?
Maybe then you’ll regain the respect.
