My husband and I witnessed a fireball as we were driving home from church several years ago.
I was gazing up at the night sky looking at what I thought was an airliner, when suddenly the light started going around in a circle, then BOOM! The sky lit up in all directions.
At first we thought a terrorist may have blown up the airliner, but the explosion was so bright, we realized it was a comet.
Needless to say, it was an awesome, unsettling experience. We didn’t say a word to each other for the rest of the ride home.
Wow! That would have been incredibly cool to see! We see small things every now and then from our house. And we’ve caught a couple of rockets from Vandenberg...very cool.
