Your right, it is sort of quaint in it's own way. While using the rig, I keep the IPhone on it's charger and set to Never Autolock. The batteries in the keyboard and mouse are suppose to last for at least a year and do power down automatically without use.
It was an exercise for this old computer geek; an investigation to see what was possible. And I find it is to my liking. No Excel expenses. Shared "Numbers" App free andthe budget real time on the icloud with the wife rather than email and copying them.
Besides, the Iphone Pictures and Videos look great on my 55" 4K curved screen.
What the young do play with these days. Utterly Amazing.
Yeah, I wonder if I could hook up a bluetooth gamepad to my iphone and use it to play duke nukem on the big screen.
