Once upon a time the BBC did make decent versions of the classics. Their 1977 Dracula was probably the film version that was most faithful to the book.

Funny enough they’re also working an an adaptation of War of the Worlds that looks pretty faithful to the book too.

They did indeed use to make decent versions of the classics, I also recommend their 1981 mini-series of Day of the Triffids.

There was a cheesy 70s show called Cliffhangers and I think it’s vampire idea was better.
