F-22 howl? You get to hear some weird harmonics on the ground from those birds when they pull a high AoA turn and the relative airflow crosses the intakes.

(Hear it all the time around Langley...kinda spooky during night ops.)

When I heard it on Thursday evening, I thought maybe it was some odd jet sound because it sounded like it receded into the distance and then came back. But this evening the sound lasted consistently for about 45 minutes.
