Let’s keep Mayor Pete out of this. This article has NOTHING to do with him.
From what I understand, this picture was taken in Taiwan. Calmari substitute and cheap dumplings.
That photo was used a few years ago when it became known that the taste, texture, and appearance is overly similar to squid prepared for calamari.
By themselves, the pork version is used for “chit’lins”, or chitterlings, as the spell-checker is wont to change it.
Although, chitterlings usually from from the small intestine.
I suppose restaurants can get a higher economic return on a “calamari” dish, than it can from actually using squid.
Or an order of chit’ins, for that matter.
No cases linked to the current outbreak have been reported in the US, but the increased screenings
come as the Bahamas announced yesterday that it is on 'high alert' for the arrival of Ebola.
Washington Dulles International Airport has hired part-time staff screen travelers
for the Ebola virus.
Los Angeles County Department of Public Health was recently in search of a nurse
to oversee 'biothreat responses,' including to Ebola.
Let us not forget that there has been a surge of immigrants coming from ebola infected countries in Africa, and many are temporarily detained in Mexico, just across the southern border.

Holy mackerel. Thanks for the ping, TIK!
Since many of these Asian countries derive most of their protein from pork,
expect the price of pork to increase dramatically,
once the Chinese resolve international trade issues.
“US airports have hired EBOLA screeners to test blood samples...”
LOL - oh my God... I can’t think of a faster way to spread Ebola than to be testing people in airports...
This is how medical personnel dress around Ebola patients...
