In the early 70’s honey oil was a cleaner more refined product then hash oil which was dark in color. Something to do with the way they extract the thc from the plant

They used an alcohol evaporator. The weed was finely chopped into a near powder and then alcohol was evaporated, condensed, and dripped through it for up to 24 hours.

Then the alcohol was evaporated until the remaining oil was pure.

At least that’s what I heard from a friend.

Wicked good stuff.
