Clayton Kershaw’s Good Sportsmanship
Epoch Times ^ | 10/23/19 | Larry Elder

Posted on 10/23/2019 9:12:00 PM PDT by OddLane

While Clayton Kershaw shows that he is a good sport when it comes to losing, not all athletes have gracefully accepted loss as well as him. Larry goes through a list of historical athletes, some who have been good sports, others who have dealt with their loss in less than admirable ways. The underlying lesson is that despite the odds against you, learn from your losses and never give up. You never know how things might turn out.

Dude! That game five when the nationals were down 3-1 in the eighth inning and then Rendon and Soto against Kershaw hit back to back homeruns to tie the game and then eventually they had a grand slam in the ninth to win it will go down all the time and as one of the greatest

things especially now watching the nationals completely dismantle and destroy the very powerful Houston Astros and their elite pitching staff

there’s something very special about this nationals team this year

and I don’t think Clayton Kershaw could’ve gotten in their way

You’re probably correct. It’s time for Clayton to re-invent himself. All he needs is to incorporate a changeup.

From a long Time braves fan coming in peace.
Yeah...it sucks balls after holding off the nats for the division...
But I am happy for them. After sending off Bryce to the hated phillies...Soto and Rendon have stepped up and filled that void..put the team on their backs and win a ring.
That high fastball $oto killed yesterday...that was murder.

I am a poor loser of the worst sort, I take everything seriously. As an old drag racer, I remember Connie Kalitta talking to a TV guy about his son Doug being upset after getting beat.

He said that most competitors who are ‘good losers’ aren’t very good winners, which is true. If you are ok with losing, you usually don’t win much.
