I suspect there were a great many wonderful items of art, trade and architecture created in ‘pre-ancient’ cultures which have been lost posterity due to them having been fabricated from perishable materials.
It is not uncommon for potters to use woven matting or fabric to make decorative impressions on moist clay jars before drying them out and firing them. Sometimes they form a coiled or slab pot in a basket, sometimes they wrap a wooden paddle with a scrap of textile.
Thought sure this was thread about the 2020 democrats.
Because each of them are basket cases going to hell in a hand basket if ever I saw one.
