Deputies shot and killed a man suspected of fatally stabbing a woman at the California home of "Tarzan" actor Ron Ely, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office said.
The sheriff's office received a call about a family dispute at the actor's home in Hope Ranch, California, on Tuesday night, Lt. Erik Raney told CNN. When deputies arrived, they found an elderly woman dead from apparent stab wounds, Raney said.
The victim's husband, whose speech was impeded because of a medical condition, said that another family member was involved in the stabbing, Raney said.

Ron Ely
It rings a bell.. Tarzan (filed in Mexico) MAD magazine did a great send up of it.
Then Doc Savage.
I remember when Timber Wolves were suddenly “IN” and Ron had one, or was it a cat, on a leash that attacked and bit someone at an animal rights get together way back in the late 1970s.
WOW Doc Savage! Where did you pull that gem out of?
Ron Ely played Doc Savage in a movie in the 70s.
Nope Frank Merrill, everyone else was just a Johnny come lately.
Me either, my mother was a nurse at St. Francis Hospital in Lynwood, CA. and had him as a patient, she was impressed by how nice he was. Back in the day a good number of Hollywood movie and TV stars went there for care, when it was run by the Catholic Nuns it was excellent!
Don’t forget remaking “Sea Hunt”.
I saw one epi at the time, and went scuba diving the next weekend.
I told my buddy about it, the scene with “Ely” at the “bottom”, narrating that “I had to get to the surface fast. I knew it was dangerous (the “bends” at the very least) but I had to do it.”
The diver got out of the rig, slipped the tank out of the backpack, ... sat on the tank, valve down, and whacked out it with the butt of the knife...to propel him to the surface.
My buddy said “No he didn’t.”
“Yes he did.” I replied.
The “Sea Hunt” remake didn’t seem to last very long.
Not at all....lol
It seems that hollywood just loves re-making those movies though that everybody knows is destined to flop.
