So, if an errant torpedo or air-to-ground missile happens to hit a ship (or 10) with no transponder, then that’d just be a terrible, but easily-avoidable, accident.
Just sayin’.
.……...just send the USS Fitzgerald over there in the dark to check it out. With the Fitz’s woman driver, and no transponder, no problem, scratch tanker.
