Yes. The issue was only on iPad. And only on apps in the recently used right half of the dock. The apps wont open from there. They will open off the dock as normal. Restarting the iPad solved the issue for about five minutes, then it happens again. It is only the apps that are in the recently used section of the dock that will not open while they are on the dock.
Thanks for the suggestion. Coincidentally, received a phone call from “Apple”, a 1-800 number today, alerting me to a breach of my icloud acct. Returned the call to find out if was legit. The message sounded like a fairly good imitation of Apple. But then I remembered that I hadn’t given them my landline # and that I’ve received some sophisticated scams in last few months.
Apple will never call you. You have to call them. If you receive such a call, Apples customer service number is 1 (800) MY-APPLE.
You can tell them the 1-800 number you got in that call and theyll have it shut down. Theyre very aggressive on tracking down these scammers, much better Microsoft is in going after the scammers claiming to be Microsoft Corporation or Windows Corporation, "you know, the company who makes your computers operating system. . .", who are calling to inform you your Windows license is about to expire, or that your Windows computer has notified them of some dire condition needing their immediate help for some exorbitant amount of money. . .
More proof you havent an inkling of a clue what youre talking about. Then thats to be expected, since you most likely dont own one. By the way, exactly what is an iPad 10? Ive never heard of that model. . . Are you, by chance, speaking of the original iPads nominal 10" screen? Such as the one I bought and used nine years ago? ROTFLMAO!
They work fine on my iPad Pro. . . Hmmmm, sounds like youve got a definite glitch issue that requires talking to Apple. One of those bugs that "affects some iPads . . ." Youll see in a future bug fix update. Hey! Maybe youll get it attributed to you. Sorta like the fame of having a disease named after you. . .
Darn! Just got through installing 13.1.2 on all our iDevices! Had waited for the bugs to be worked out in 13 but I guess I didn’t wait long enough. Were Beta test periods longer under Steve Jobs? Seems like Apple is moving towards the M$/Android model of smaller/more frequent updates. Not a fan of that, part of the reason I joined the Apple ecosystem 9 years ago or so.
I see you were so impressed with your posting insult humor, you just had to repeat your self.
So I thought I might take the opportunity to point out the new iPad Pros use a processor that is turning in Benchmarks that are faster than some new Intel i7 processors used in many laptop computers (including Apples one lower model MacBook Pro) especially in Multicore. . . and add that those Intel i7 processors lack a neural engine co-processor capable of doing one trillion operations per second.
Of course, that 9th generation Intel i7 processor is at a bit of a disadvantage in that it is built on a 14 nanometer tech and has only about 2.5 billion transistors while Apples A13 Bionic is built on a 7nm tech, and has 8.5 billion transistors (and the version in the iPad Pro 11 and 12.5 has 10 billion transistors making them 40% faster than its little bother!).
Im not sure what youre looking for in major software, but you can do full Adobe Photoshop and AutoCAD, as well as do full cinema level movie editing on iPads. . . Those are pretty damn heavy duty "major software" and fully functional. In fact several full length feature films were shot on iPhones with post production work done on iPads. Thats REALLY HEAVY software.
So, again, you dont know what you are talking about.
All that spec talk is not what I’m talking about. I mean just as I wrote. Have an old iPad and you can hardly run any software on it.
I have the same issue on my iPad g6.I tried what you suggested already and it did not help.
I just wanna listen to a favorite album that I own - and it is certain that I need to listen to DWs favorite Beethoven instead. Nice music, without a doubt - but right now I want to listen to Mario Lanza!
